Demo Camera to display on TV
Marko replied to Elmoclayman's topic in Educational Approaches and Resources
You can use a iPhone and stream to the tv if it has mirror capabilities. You can set your iPhone on a tripod. Check your tv in settings to see if you can setup the mirroring. I bet most of your students know how to do this. -
Hi, your kiln looks in good shape. Have a go at it and try a firing before you get a, digital kiln controller. There are many available, but doing your research can narrow it down to what you want. The 240v is the power needed to run the kiln and get the element to the temperature your kiln is rated for. I wouldn't worry about the 120v. I have a Paragon A82B but never used the a 120v outlet on the control box. But you can call Paragon and ask. But more import than that is the amps. I see you have 25.9 amps. So the breaker must be at 30 amps or above. Best to ask Paragon or any qualified electrician. Get this done first then fire, then decide if you should spend the extra money on the digital kiln controller. Best of luck. ~marko

Hello Barake, And thank you for your kind words. It is one of my early pottery/sculpture works. It is in the home of a private collector here in texas. The last sculpture I made was the Green alabaster at the end of this folder. Entitled, "Elf Boy, the wanderer". He too is in a private collection. My second stone sculpture. All in this folder were my learning experience in college. So thank you again. And I must say, after I visited your page, you have quite a gift. I love the expressions of your sculptures; excellent. They touch me. Thank you for sharing.

I love the Waterfall brown. I have plans to make variations of it. I love Earth tones. I think I will try these chalices again. Only larger. But I have a lot on my to do list, so whenever. LOL. I don't know anything about Strontium crystal Matte for iron? That's news to me. Send me a recipe, as I do have plans to work with other glazes. Thanks
