TJR
I am inspired to post this as I have walked around a saber saw on a stand in my studio for low these past two years. I did not ask for this saw, nor do I know how to use it. It is good for hanging my parka on.The owner got it out of his house. He left with a good feeling, having rid himself of an uneeded piece of equipment. I have been gifted clay, glaze, a gas kiln, more glaze,un-named white powdery bags of something. These are gifts that keep on giving. What have you been given that you didn't want, didn't ask for, and don't need? Merry Christmas. TJR.

Denice
Can't believe you haven't needed a jigsaw, we wear them out at our house. Was going to get a new one for Xmas but bought a new compressor instead, the old one will have to hang on. Denice

oldlady
a neighbor dumped 4 bags with a few pounds each of some kind of hard red clay and a 25 lb lump of "porcelain" just inside the door to my studio while i was out. there are some holes in the yard, i guess i can put the lumps on top of the holes and hope old man winter takes care of it all. TJR
I didn't mean to sound ungrateful or nasty here. I was hoping for some humour at this time of year. Took me a long time to realize that the giver felt good, but I was left to deal with their old stuff. TJR.

That is exactly how the disaster relief people feel when everyone sends all their old, useless stuff to them ... Yes, those poor people would really love your ten year old used shoes. The "old maid" stuff I get are family souvenirs ... Nobody wants to toss them but who really knows who great uncle Frank on your aunts side was or why someone kept it. I have a drawer full since I seem to be the family target. Anybody want a set of carved peach pits? Yes, really ...

Yes, those poor people would really love your ten year old used shoes. Right after the tsunami in Japan in 2011, someone posted that they needed children's backpacks in one particular town. The town recieved warehouses full of backpacks that they could not use. best, .............john

Chris Campbell
Now that is a good way to use them ... Thanks! What a great story when someone asks where the texture comes from ... 100 year old peach pits carved by an unknown distant relative.
