Elmoclayman
Any one use one of the small hand held protein shake mixer/ milk froth mixer for mixing low fire bottled glazes? I have a lot of bottled glazes that sit for a couple months. I add water to them and shake them like a bartender and that usually works, but was looking for an automated tool to help mix them quicker. Does one brand work better than another? Thinking it might need a bit of power if the glazes have dried out a little and are fairly firm. Thanks in advance.
oldlady
contact the manufacturer of the glaze for their particular thinning method. i was sent something for a glaze that was their propriatary product and it worked well. i only use one bottled glaze, a bright red on exteriors only. the cost was quite reasonable. neilestrick
I use the cheapest stick/hand/immersion blender I can find. They tend to wear out faster than with kitchen use due to the abrasiveness of the glaze materials, but they work great. I also use a small coffee grinder for turning hardened glazed into powder, also around $5... neilestrick, Bam2015 and Pyewackette
