I just found out that all of our work is fired reduction by default. I also found out that only Soldate 60 and Porcelain are fired to cone 10, everything else is a cone 5 clay but fired to cone 6....I am still confused. I must bother the professor more with the how and why.

Found a small Olympic gas kiln that I can use for crystalline reduction. Now I have something to test stoneware clay bodies in as well; the missing link.

A full, but beautiful Fall afternoon of spraying glaze and loading the gas kiln. So nice to be able to work outside!

Throwing things in my mind, but my couch is so comfy I haven't gone to my studio to actually create them.

I have two weeks till Open Studio and I think I'm getting sick! I have 26 mugs and several other pieces wrapped in plastic, waiting to be handled and carved, as well as 40+ other pieces that are dry and ready to be fired.

3 weeks of a sinus cold and no pottery makes a man go crazy. Well this man anyways. Trying to get back into my studio tomorrow!

Getting ready to test some underglazes in a cone 05 fire; the completed studio reorg is downright inspiring-I can find everything and have more working space!

Looks like I have a causalty of war in the studio. Went out early to shut down the two test kilns: one was frozen in "8888" LED status. Lightning came through at 4am/: think it is fried.

I'm just now getting on the screenprinting bandwagon for transfers...and the CriCut option for making silkscreen masks is a game changer...yep, that's all I need...another ADHD design option #smh
