  1. Spent 30 minutes this afternoon weighing and wedging clay to throw after my son's bedtime. Only he got sick so instead of throwing clay I dealt with throw up.

  7. 100 degrees in the studio. 115 degrees put side. And trying to get my kiln fixed. Waiting on parts, again. I think maybe the heats getting to me. I told my wife I wanted to quit.

  9. My kiln is down. And I ordered parts from The Ceramic Shop, that ordered the parts I need, but Paragon sent my, drop ship order to The ceramic Shop, that sent my shippment to Paragon. I ordered it 6-2-12. This real suks. I'm so depressed. I live 7 hours from Paragon. So dpressed, I don't want to do anything. Nothing.

  16. I just finished a website update today. If anyone has a moment, can they please give it a browse for errors, bugs, slow loading pics and the like?

  17. Just acquired just under a ton of semi-dry Coleman porcelain clay...re-constituting this mess may take a while.

  20. last week I went online to order a pottery book. After ordering Kilns, by Rhodes, Backyard Kilns, and Ceramics-Mastering the Craft, did I realize I forgot to order the intended book! One thing can be said about forgetfulness, it gets better with time! :)

  21. I forget how nice throwing porcelain is. Bought a bag of 365, never have tried it before. very nice indeed.

  22. Picked up a bag each of Grolleg, McNamee, NZ, Helmer, and FHC: let the clay body tests continue.

  23. Glaze firing tonight. Yard work tomorrow. Listings the next day. Then repeat!

  24. Nothing better than getting up, drinking some tea, then pulling some handles for some mugs. What a day what a day!

  25. Back in the dark ages when I first started using clay, I don't recall anyone telling me to be sure to photograph finished work...see, it is ALL their fault :)
