Thanks Evelyne, it was corticosteroid. No surgery need yet. My PA said it's at an early stage, so will just monitor it for now, with some follow ups. The pains not to bad.

Thanks Marcia. It still gets numb at times, but the pain has subsided. Amen!

  2. Back to the drawing board. I fired a kiln to ^6 with a pyro barin my sitter. New sitter, new everything, except infinite switches (no long can get), but it never got there. Brand new elements. It was firing fine till last nite. It's still cooling. Going to fire in my small kiln to finish an order. And work on the big kiln. I will fix it or try basket weaving in my padded room.

Yup. I just wonder if the weather had anything to do with it. We had some very heavy downpours Saturday when I was firing. No lighting. the barometric pressure was at 30.30. The humidity at 84%. Guess it could be that my kiln was, a bit under the weather, LOL.

I fired the small kiln today @^6 and it went well. Nice day. I am going to fire another load in the big kiln tomorrow ^6. small load. If it doesn't go well I am going to check all my wiring.

I will only fire bisque ware in my dad's big kiln. It has too many hot and cold spots. Sometimes there has been a four-cone variation between the top and bottom shelf. Too unpredictable. So I fire many small glaze loads.

  3. Happy Valentine's Day to all you sweethearts, hehe. All we need is love and a whole lotta clay.

Hey Marko (blushing), you are such a kind friend! People write me emails and p.m.'s to wish me luck for the surgery. With so many friends thinking of me, nothing can go wrong. Thank you from all my heart!!

  12. Doing a ^6 witness firing test. I have a Orton AF3000, that is finishing at 2194 F, so I test. I have also disconnected all the switches, timers and cone sitter. Now it is direct from the elements to the power cord to the Orton control wall box. Hope it works.

Happy sales. I have a northstar tile press I have used one time.. Probably should do the same.

  14. I like your art. Especially the animal pots. I have your website in my favorites. I have not made a web site yet. Maybe someday when I have art as good as yours.

  15. Hi Denice, thanks for writing. I think I will just try the mid fire Mayco glazes I have and test them out on myself, first. There were many good answers to my questions, but I will just have to try this or that. Wouldn't it be nice to have a reply button to write to people here that would also show what we said. I can't find anything like that. Do you have a reply button? Marko

  16. Hi Heidi. Hope the wheels are in motion. Are you a native of South Africa?

  17. Hi Chris, I've been to your website. You are one generous artist. So much helpful information and inspiring art. Thanks so much. I bookmaked your website so I can stop in and learn. Thanks

  18. I love using soy wax. It burns cleaner. And it make me hungry, lol, JK. But it is smokeless.

  19. Living, Learning and having fun doing it.
