I have two very large containers of dried Coleman Porcelain staring at me. I really don't want to sound ungrateful for the 'gift'....what I wouldn't do for a nearby ballmill

spent a dreary day reorganizing kiln shed , and one corner of the studio.Threw some saggars, and recycled some clay. Made chicken soup just because so many people have the flu. I made it just in case..

I'm thinking about demonstrating at Ft. Yargo, GA March 28th. Just have to work out several details, such as dog care, pottery, and crossing state lines.

Car kiln opening today around noon...'scheduled a Red Cross appointment for the morning just to avoid the temptation to crack it open

Almost a full day of brushing underglazes. It is still a challenge to me to find the right mix of slips, stains, underglazes, and sprayed on top glazes. Hoping to fire later this week.

Another round of ice, sleet, and snow...nothing like the hammering that is going on in the Northeast, but I reserve the right to whine when my studio is too chilly for clay work.

Working with clay has made me a hoarder. I am always thinking, I could use that in the studio, or I could make a tool out of that and I don't throw it away.

It is nice enough in the studio today that I have the outside door open...and I can mop without fear of creating an ice rink!

Bought a heater for my garage. Made a bunch of pots today. So nice throwing in 70 degree heat.

I've already fired kilns 3 times this year. Usually bisque twice and glaze twice per year and that's it. I'm cranking stuff out this year!'.

i was at work with one of our customers and promised him some hunting/fishing gear thats not in use, he said ok ill trade you a Kiln.. DEAL!!!

Just so you know... a sharpened needle tool, when knocked off a countertop, can put a hole in one's foot. No need to try this for yourself, trust me
