    the pulp can be made in this contraption. Use hot water and add strips of paper or linter. beat until it looks like oatmeal.

  3. still in Montana where my new work is really selling well. it makes me happy because it is hard to sell in in Texas. I have a strong reputation in Montana even after being gone for Six years.

  6. Got Obvara firing done ..5 batches and some nice pieces. Lost a few due to dropping. Klutzy day.

      Sorry that you lost a few. My track record on glaze firing is pretty good...on bisque handling, not so much (abysmal may be the word I'm seeking). Can't wait to see your pictures, Marcia.

      The intense steam inside my kiln shed, blinded me. And the obvara is slippery. I was using new cooking tongs and they didn't grip. Not really a good solo operation.

    Yesterday's firing produce some great results. Here are 4. My favorite is the largest.Great colors!

      I have to wait for some cold fronts to pass before I mix the brew. So I made some more pots with big crackled surfaces.

    Celedon ^9 reduction using burnt umber for a colorant.This was the color I wanted for ^6 Ox. I did many tests and came up with the recipe posted in the previous Faux celedon example.
