      Hi Marcia,

We are looking into adding the link to the Ceramic Arts Network homepage to the navigation bar at the top. From there you can access Ceramics Monthly, Pottery Making Illus., ICAN etc. Hope to have it up there in the next day or so. For now, here is the link: https://ceramicartsnetwork.org/

      Thanks,

      Jen

  3. Fired a sagger firing today. Here are my 3 favorites from that.dkgreenandbrown.jpg.86aad6f7339bd88680963352229655ff.jpgrustandgreen.jpg.60dd0cb40ce4fab88911187a99c20bbb.jpg59ceef4e2d5d3_yellowwblacklines.jpg.62e46a8b0fff1e98cff80ba25bbb81a0.jpg

  4. worked on my raku kiln this afternoon. Raised the floor level for several reasons: snow, being able to disconnect the pulleys at a decent height so I can wrap it up for bad weather, and hopefully raising it will make the heat less intense on the top of my head.using my old lid for the base. Saved me using a lot of soft brick.

  5. Today the replacement lid with a counter weight came. Tomorrow my helpers come to lift the kiln and with out stands. And today I laid the foundation for my large raku kiln with a pulley system. Soon I'll be making big pots again. Very happy we have warm weather this week.I need to build the raku kiln in place so the pulleys and attachments to the chamber line up. Friday we had this. 6.5" of heavy wet snow. Many tree branches snapped. Today it was perfect for working outside.

I am back but having a slow time reconfiguring how the new format works and where things are located. My class went very well. Had people from Italy, Switzerland, Hong Kong, Canada, Scotland, and US.

We were joined by 2 brasilians for our short post workshop trip to Faenza and the International  Museum of Ceramic Art , studio visits and Ravenna mosaics.

I also went for a fast visit to Venice to see the Biennale. Quite a few ceramics pieces there.
