Mark C.
This is an unusual fishing deal if I ever saw one I have been to the Solomon Islands twice Both times it was for 12 days to two weeks Its a world class underwater diving spot its really hard to get there-takes a big effort Honiara is the capital-many know it as Guadalcanal -its dirt streets and not a stop lite on the island. The phone # is a Guadalcanal # Seems Richard Moore has a profile on linkedin I would consider it a 4th world location John The only shipping service was DHL-extremely pricey here's a carving from there as they do some amazing things with wood there Mark
Babs
hey John, there is a resort for the very rich on one of the Islands. A friend of a friend of a friend owns/leases an island there. Just give me your credit card details and I'll see what I can do with your product, trust me. But a great dive area never the less. World war something ships sunk one of the bays. Mart
I have seen similar spam with a product catalog attached as a .exe file. DO NOT OPEN THIS FILE! Those scammers like to find out, can you make products listed in the "catalog" and then ship to NY.
neilestrick
I get this email several times a week, but usually shipping to Australia, sometimes to another random country. They always have their own freight carrier, and always want to pay by credit card. I first saw this scam when I was working for a ceramic supply company back in 2002 or 2003. We had never seen it before, or anything like it, so we cautiously continued the conversation. At some point we tried to verify some information on the billing and it didn't come through. Now when I get them they usually want to buy kilns.
Chris Campbell
I got a new take on an oldie this week ... instead of the "note from a stranded friend who has just been robbed in a foreign country" ... It was a friend who needs emergency surgery but has no insurance and anything I could add to the fund would be appreciated ... credit cards accepted. Best wishes and get well soon. Kohaku
Bit off topic... but I'm continually amused at the comments on my pottery blog... and some of the 'posters' who submit the comments. Take this recent example... Good web site. A lot of beneficial data right here. My business is sending it to a few friends ans furthermore sharing within delectable. As well as naturally, thanks to your effort! Posted by 'Curing Post Nasal Drip'

GEP
I never get these. What's wrong with my product? T. Do you have a website, facebook page, or etsy site that talks about your small business and your products? That's what these scammers are looking for. Or maybe they only go after US based "products?" weeble
Oh, they like Etsy too, I got one but they just wanted a high end coil pot. Of course they wanted to know the 'condition of the item' and if 'the item is still available' and unfortunately they're out to sea, and can only use Paypal, would I send my bank info. I'm sure if I'd have replied there would have been a private shipper that I'd have to pay from the money order they sent. Yeah, I might have fallen off a truck on the way off the farm, but it wasn't yesterday!
