Wyndham
looks like the bearing in my brent c wheel(20 + years old) is toast . has anyone had an electric motor repair place replace the bearings. A new motor is around $400, just getting info before committing to a new motor. Thanks
CactusPots
My wheel head bearings went out a few years ago. Not that in your case? If I had to replace the motor, I'd consider it the time for an upgrade. You'd have to make sure it fit properly and so forth. It might be that a better motor wouldn't cost that much more. Something to consider.
Denice
I bought a used Brent C wheel that had a new motor in it, I wish it had a little stronger motor.. So you might consider a upgrade. Does Grainger's have a replacement motor sometimes you can save some money buying from them. Denice
Mark C.
I as well as a friend had our bearings replaced by a motor shop-was cheap and easy but it took some time.
tinbucket
Brent is a relatively small American company. Their customer service is easy to reach and very helpful, they might be able to advise you on the repair
JohnnyK
An electric motor repair shop should be able to replace the bearings without too much difficulty. It would be a heck of a lot cheaper than a new motor...
