Built-in Hanger Thing in Plate Backs?

With large platters I drill 2 holes in top of foot (about 1/8 inch ) holes when shrunk. I use a stainless heavy wire to form a small loop for hanging.

I use an undercut on the inside of the foot. You can then hang the platter on a nail or screw and will not fall off.

Also have cut a groove on the outside of the foot to wrap a wire around and make a loop to hang on a nail or screw.

I also have this undercut on my feet but the small holes go under the foot and the  small loop is not an issue using the platter or washing it as well.
