    Fat Cat

Magnificent characterization ! I like the cracks too.
  2. I love the combination of colour and texture. How on earth did you do it?
  3. I like your blue & black bowl very much, also the bluish wine glass (I assume it is) but this one not. It looks rather dull by comparison.
  4. Very beautiful, I love the earthy, natural colours - very suitable to the wood, beautiful piece of wood too. Even more special because it is both artistic and functional.
  5. Wonderful sculpture ! It would be interesting how you got the black.
  6. I like the combination of clay with organic material -(weaved grass?). The transition between the two works well and also the match of colour.
  7. Very functional and it looks cheerful. Makes me want to squeeze an orange now!
  8. Wonderful ! I like the others too. A wonderful deviation from the norm - makes "normal" pots look boring. Love the colours. Congratulations !
  9. Berte your female figures are absolutely stunning.

It is not just that they are technically good and beautiful, but you manage to give them an expression, and that is the difficult and best part.

  10. I love this jug. Like the form, like the colours and I like the texture. Have not seen anything like this.
  11. Fantastic colour and texture ! Really beautiful. I would still prefer to drink my tea out of an ordinary teacup with a handle though.
  12. I like the effect that the dents have, it breaks the symmetry of the pot because they are not precisely arranged. It would be interesting if you glaze the pots - what the glaze will look like in and around the dents, I would guess it would lead to differences in intensities in colour and therefore make it more interesting.
  13. I like this very much! For me it is a mixture of something metallic and organic, the body has something about an octopus. The colour suits the form very well. It is artistic as well as functional.

    Watering Kan

I like rusty things, but what is this made of ? What is the handle made of ? Please let us know, I'm dying to know. Thanks
  15. This looks very romantic, yet I do not really understand this. Have you "solidified" the tablecloth by soaking it in slip and then firing it, so that it becomes hard? If that is possible, it would be very brittle. Or is the tablecloth just wrapped over something else you made, that we cannot see?
  16. I like all the swirls ! To me it has a resemblance to the classic "willow pattern", but in a radically different style. The doves are there but they are not quite as cosy with each other.
  17. 'claylady21'/ Bonnie Thanks for the paperclay suggestion. I have heard about it but have not tried it yet. regards
  18. Thanks a lot Trina, I did not know about that, I will try it next time.
  19. I like this one a lot. The perfect serving bowl to go with a meal cooked in an african 3-legged pot ("potjiekos")
  20. I love the patterns and the colour. Would be interesting to know how you did it.
  21. I started recently and because I am interested in sculptural work this figure was an experiment - I wanted to see how thick I can make a figure without it being hollow, and without it cracking. (Thickest part was about an inch). The legs sagged a bit because the figure had to lie flat while drying, but no cracks. Any criticism/comments most welcome.
  22. I have recently started with pottery. My intention is to do sculptural stuff. This was my 2nd piece of ceramic work. (I have done a bit of sculpturing in wood before). Any criticism is most welcome, it will help me improve.

Wonderful ! The figure portrays pure elegance and style. I like the different shades of brown.

Three absolutely beautiful maidens ! I like the expressions. The textures and shades of brrown suit the figures very well. The clothes, wings and hats, I assume they are made of fabric? They look too extremely delicate and thin to be made of clay. What kind of clay did you use? How tall are they?
  25. Very frightening but cute little monster! I like the glaze too.
