denise, i used them for years. if you dampen the bats themselves, they expand just enough to fit tightly. you learn to center a little differently if they lift up a bit. very useful as the pot pops off when it dries enough.

sometimes it is necessary to just sit down and enjoy breathing in and out. pick up a book or put one down. have a cool drink or a hot one. take a nap and renew. see what life is like outside the studio. something is telling you to do that now.
