What Will An Archaeologist Say When They Dig Up Your Shards Or Your Pots? | September 24, 2013

Recommended Posts

I like to use the extreme durability of ceramics as a way to chat up customers at shows "treat it right, and not only will your grandchildren be able to use it, but some archaeologist will be digging it up!" They laugh, then they look again, and often buy. We sell mugs and wine goblets and such.

i often think of this....would i want someone to find this in 3000 years? makes it easy to smash things.  i try my best to catch it when the work is still green, so i can smash it back and re-use the clay into something worthy.

acheologist of the future might think, Wow, this guy moved around alot! but i tthink they will be too busy with ipods and gas powered cars to take much interest....
