Bam2015
Hi All, I plan to make the following clear glaze recipe which calls for G-200. Should I use Minspar or Custer in place of the G-200? Thank you!
Bill Kielb
Straight from Digital fire via Glazy Looks like Custer is a sibling. Glaze Calc can be useful here if you have it else digital fire and Glazy have nice material databases.

Callie Beller Diesel
Heads up that the Pacer mine, Custer’s producer, has gone bankrupt with very little notice to its customers this month. So if you’re looking for ongoing use of this glaze, it might be wise to get ahold of some Mahavir if you don’t have any. You may have to adjust this recipe with a hair more epk if you use that one. If it’s just a matter of using up Custer you already own, it might be a bit less fluid than G200, but it’s a closer match than Minspar. Min
Laguna supplies many of the smaller clay suppliers with their spars. It's my understanding Laguna might not continue carrying the Mahavir spar in favour of carrying G200EU, this needs to be confirmed though.
