chipcoates
I am making coiled vessels with big wide bodies and shoulder, even though i am drying them slowly i keep getting tension cracks on the inward curve on the shoulder. I am using a grogged clay with low shrinkage. Any suggestions appreciated.
Babs
Place plastic bag over the top third. May be caused by faster drying and so shrinks more quickly as pot dries
Rae Reich
You probably have made the wall thinner as it rises, especially near the neck. Abrupt differences of thickness will stress with drying. Try to make that transition area more consistent. Nice texture on your pot!
