Can pots be used in candle making?

Someone has asked me to make 4x3 inch pots for making candles. I have reservations about the clay body being able to handle the heat without cracking. I use a cone 6 toothy porcelain, a cone 10 white stoneware without grog, and a cone 6 stoneware with grog. Any suggestions on the best choice.

i have a potter friend who worked with candles years ago and she said the only problem she saw is the heat that happens when the wick burns down totally.  if there is no spacing between the bottom of the candle and the bottom of the container, that heat can burn whatever the container is resting on.   so, sounds like you would want to raise the bottom somehow to prevent damaging someone's furniture.
