LeeU
Any major, known, reason to not experiment with low fire refiring commercial terra cotta flower pots with some experimentation with low fire glaze? I'd prefer to know now if it's just gonna explode! Thanks.
Denice
I have glaze the inside of some commercial terracotta pots with a C04 glaze and they came out great. I was making a set of painting mixing cups for a class, I used some small flower pots that didn't have holes in the bottom. Denice
Min
They shouldn't explode Lee. Terracotta is porous so it's easy for any moisture to escape. I'ld put a test piece or even some shards of the same type of pot in a saucer and fire it up to ^04 and see what happens. If the pots are Mexican terracotta they could be made from a really lowfire clay.
