nic moore
Hi all! I'm just switching up my clay situation from a cone 10 to cone 6 and finding it a bit overwhelming with all the different brands and choices of clay - the last few years Ive been usuing mainly cone 10 B-mix with sand ( i like the grey color), soldate ( i love the medium brown speckled quality), and Jamaica for a dark option. So I'm trying to find comparable clay bodies for cone 6. If you have advice on great clay bodies to try or where to order them online that would be so helpful!! THANKS SO MUCH! neilestrick
Where are you located? Your closest supplier is generally your best bet unless you want to drive a long way or pay a lot in shipping.
Marian Lake
Laguna has a B-Mix5 clay many people swear by, the soldate clay you might replace with Standard 112 or Laguna Specked Buff, the dark clays may be like Standard 266 or Laguna B3. Both companies have reliable products, like Neil says it's best to see what your nearest supplier has to save on shipping. Many suppliers are happy to give you a sample of the clays you're interested in.
