ayjay
I've been meaning to do this for a while but kept on forgetting: today I remembered and made some calcined kaolin. I don't need it at the moment but I do sometimes stumble across glaze recipes etc that require calcined kaolin. Do I need to worry about any special storage requirements like keeping it in an airtight container, or just chuck it in a box until I need it? Callie Beller Diesel
Chuck it in a box. Soda ash and bicarbonate will reabsorb water, but clays won't.
Marcia Selsor
I keep calcined chemicals in a lidded coffee can. A plastic lidded container will work just as well. Marcia
