oldlady
if you are using a strong glue, Gorilla glue is the one i used, be careful of ALL your fingers while you work. yes, it is important to firmly hold the item being glued in your right hand to complete the project but make sure all of the fingers of the left hand are free and not STUCK TO EACH OTHER. fortunately, my neighbor across the street was home and could use the bottle of nail polish remover and cotton that i managed to pick up with my little finger on the right hand and my left thumb. (it is almost impossible to feel anything with fingers coated with a thin amount of glue. no fingerprints, either until it wears off.) i'm sure nobody else has done something so silly. glazenerd
Finger nail polish has acetone as the primary solvent. You can buy a quart of acetone for less money than a bottle of remover. For future reference. Nerd

Many ladies have nail polish remover in the house as a matter of course, however. Oldlady, not today I haven't.
