Our favorite Thrift shop is Islands thrift in Oak Harbor on Widby Island if you get up that way. Its more visted these days but still a great spot. It works so well as the airbase is nearby and has a constant turnover of folks who dump most of thier stuff moving to another base.

My husband and I stopped at our local Restore looking for some unusual pieces or ideas for our basement project. It was pretty much wiped out of donated materials. It looked like a lot of furniture had been donated, I think most of the city was working on their homes during the shelter in. We also have a air base, I will have to ask the pilots that live behind me where they donate when they get transferred. Denice
