Stoneware in the kiln at the college, should have a couple pieces to pick up soon, then a bit more later. I'm thinking about taking the summer class too, it was a good experience.

Ordered my first kiln, the KM818 from Skutt. 240v configuration. 4-6wks. Yay! (I hope). Thanks to all for their input on my choice. 

Making a mug for a neighbor...I sense a slippery slope here.

The plug is installed. Now to cut the cement board. 

Waiting to open my first real (not just tests) glaze firing in my own kiln. Now I understand. 

Class in progress, yay! 

3rd pottery class last night. To my disappointment none of my greenware had been glazed so I sat out the glazing demonstrations at the wheel practicing cylinders. Going back in to put handles on them today.

Intended mid-fire turning into a second low fire. Oodles of mosaic tiles being glazed to justify space. 

Bisque firing waiting to emerge, with any luck a mid fire in the next day or three. 

Derp! there it is.

Joined the local Artist's co-op gallery and ended up as secretary board member...trip to Humboldt on hold 'till January. 

Bartered some time trimming slip forms at the local store that fires my work in exchange for kiln services. Only broke one piece! 

Cold on it's way out but not gone. Once better I have some work to pick up and will be bartering work time for kiln firings at a local shop. 

I painted today: put a layer of gold craft paint on my scuffed up paint-splattered Birkenstocks, yay! Everything going to hell in a handbasket otherwise.
