  11. met up with my husband in Amarillo. He was a day behind me but got an early start at 5 am and hit the snow too. Now we're driving together.I thought I lost a cat but today she appeared in the van after spending the night hiding hopefully in a warm moving blanket. She appeared in the litter box behind the seat. I am amazed and happy to still have her..Made it to Cheyenne, Wyo. and tomorrow to our new home. Our friends plowed the driveway and sidewalk is shoveled.

  12. Getting ready to leave Texas this morning. Dark and foggy. Cats have been drugged, harness on one. one last shop cart to put into my van along with a suitcase, winter coat. too bad my snow boots are up there. Should have a very white Christmas with 17" of snow!

  15. Random thought, what would happen, if a Raku piece were put in a container of cooking oil as a means of reduction?...

I guess its the fact that the substance is a fluid so it ups the danger issue- burning oil was a weapon in medieval times, napalm in more recent times- they all stick to you, and burn. you'll have to talk to a blacksmith about quenching & see how they do it (dip & run?)

what Min said & use soft clay-knead,knead,knead- then throw & centre. start small.
