well monday we get a new puppy. so fun. I often make little clay eggs and I had some drying at home once. came home and found them full of teeth marks. No studio time for this pup.

Thinking about starting private lessons from inside my home. My health is crashing fast, and pottery is getting harder every day, but I have a lot of knowledge to share.

Working on a design for an "Anti-Gravity" workspace mat. That way any dropped tools could be retrieved without bending over. Alternately, I could just use those things kids have to attach their gloves to their coats...

well they make all kinds of "grabber" gadgets for disabled people to pick stuff up off the floor. but my work chair raises and lowers so i can just do that.

A couple of yahoos were racing on the highway at 2:30am, crashed, and knocked out the power in three small towns. My Fred was firing when the power was cut, hnnngh... He got back online, though.

I just learned from one of my longtime clients that a bun of hers I made a portrait of passed last night. It always hits deep, hearing that. Through my art, I feel like I know them in spirit. :'( I guess I'm weird...

Has anyone ever had shoulder problems from throwing? Like bursitis or rotator cuff issues? My buddy tore the crap out of his making macho-pottery & needed surgery. Mine are KILLIN'. I wanna throw! ;.;

well i once injured a shoulder dumping a big trash can of raku debris into a dumpster. nothing horrible but after 6 months it still hurt. went to the chiropractor who fixed it right up.

Still feeling pain from the cortisone shot my doctor gave me. I can't even make a fist. I hope it ends soon. I miss being in the studio.

ouch no fun. my doctor gives me a local anesthetic before giving cortisone shot in my thumb joint. makes a big difference.

My house/studio was burned to the ground in the Valley Fire that started very close to my home. Our street was the first to go and my area is totally destroyed. 75% of the homes in my little town are gone. I had over 300 pots ready for fairs and of course, all the pottery we use daily. I’m devastated. I’m hoping I’ll be able to recover some pots that didn’t break/melt, and maybe my kilns? Wheel? The evacuation order hasn’t been lifted yet. With the shards I’ll make a big mosaic wall when we...
