    Sconce Night view

Oh, I forgot, I have them flat on the backs in the kiln. I only glaze the outside front.
  2. I love the way carving into the body feels and looks. Wonderful.
  3. Reach my "Like" quota? Anyway, I like all your work. Do you sell online?
  4. Just beautiful. Do you do a one fire? All freehand? Does it take long to paint? Very beautiful.
  5. Must try this method sometime. Very nice work.

    What happened. Beautiful tile work.
  7. I like #1 and #2. I never drank from a lip like that. Looks like it would spill over if not taken your drink slow. I play it safe. Your cups?

    Sconce Night view

Thanks for asking Babs. I keep the backing on a plaster board overnight befor I cut the width and length. Then I cut the holes on the back. I flip it and by then the front will be leather hard and I cut the sides using a selected board of my choice. In this case a .5"x1.75". Score and slip with magic water and add coils to joints. Let it sit in my drying cabinet, I control the drying by opening or closing the roll up plastic door. The next day or even tgat night I cut a stencil and center it on the sconce. This is when I use underglaze and drill the light holes. And cut the side openings with a razor. I do prefer to bisque, rather than all in one fire, because, I do not want the clear glaze to smear the underglaze. I clear glaze and then fire to ^6. Hope that helps.
