Go to a resale shop and buy an old/thick wool blanket and lay it over the compressor. It will cut down the noise- long as the intake air valve is not blocked.

Welp. My spray results were fantastic. Everything I had hoped for and more. I am off to get 2 more guns so I don't have to clean my only gun out between every glaze change. Pottery will be going for sale soon! yay!
