  1. Akira Satake workshop was amazing. Helped free my mind and understand a different thought process. I glazed some pots when I got home in my glazes and felt the most joy ive felt glazing them understanding why I loved what I loved.

I didn't plan to use his techniques much. I just wanted to absorb his way of doing things, his mentality is great. I might do some of his mortar mix technique in my own very different way, but I don't plan on doing any of the slab slip work. The real joy of the workshop is how he feels and if your like me, I needed that thought process, my work will benefit from it greatly.

Sometimes that's what is overlooked; the mindset. I sometimes wonder about the thought process of other potters and then I try to think, "what would Grype do," and others. But thankfully and more readily I can get answers here on the PC. I am glad you got to experience this masters thoughts and I sure you will benefit. I hope you can share some of it when you come back down to Earth, LOL. Good for you.
