Brush wax with cobalt oxide was applied to make the river so this decorative large bowl has a slight texture to it.

Combinations of zinc-cobalt and iron oxide were used.

White clay and the same clay with iron oxide wedged into it. The piece was dunked in glaze and then scraped away leaving a pronounced coil texture.
