Here goes nothing! Just started my glaze fire a few days before my first show. My future is in the hands of the kiln gods...

Spent yesterday with a group of Explorer Scouts. They dug raw clay, chopped it, slushed it, pounded it, made pinch pots. Going to "pit fire" next week. Such fun.

Just turned on a bisque load- this one contains little handprints on slabs for my sons preschool class, they are my first slabs and have already warped a lot, but I need to get them done before school lets out this year.

good results from this week's firings.

*grumble* let my plates get too dry before trimming. Dangit!

Frustrated was unable to trim yesterday's practice. I need to remind myself porcelain is quirky. I you can't rush poreclain. It took substandard trimming on a few pieces before I realized. Then it took me way to long to switch gears and be productive.

Bisque firing a load today!

I made several vases on the wheel today. My back is killing me, but mentally I feel great.

After three successful glaze firings without any of the wires getting hot I finally trust that the kiln is fixed! Happy days. Time to start making money
