neilestrick
I fired those kilns in grad school! Can't believe they still had them. I graduated in 1997.

Let's guess that the insulating value of the linings is now "compromised" a bit . best, ..............john
Mark C.
Nothing like moving an old fiber kiln. What are they paying to haul them away? The car looks tipped up in that one shot? Mark

Mark The door end of the car isn't sitting on the track. The frame might be reusable, but I'd hate to be the one to tear out that fiber.

Iv'e turned down kiln repair/rebuild jobs that want me to rip out old used fiber like that. WAY more dangerous than new fiber,......... and new RCF is not "happy stuff" to start with. Not worth the bucks. best, ........................john
