carissman
What is your favorite commercial mid-range satin clear? Have been using Amaco HF-12, but it is, of course, unavailable these days. Thanks for taking the time.
rox54
I use Laguna MS-67 and really like it. I acquired a big batch a while ago, so I don't know the current pricing. It works well for me on Laguna 65 and Standard 563.
Bam2015
Did you check Sheffield Pottery? It looks like they have the pint size in stock, but maybe you're looking for gallon size? If so, that's out of stock. I think they have a $50. minimum purchase for shipping. Betty
carissman
Finally found a gallon at both Bailey and the Ceramics Shop online. Thanks for your thoughts.
Callie Beller Diesel
I’m gonna move this thread over to the glaze chemistry section for better visibility. What glazes are best depend on the clay body you’re using, especially if you want an uncrazed clear.
Hyn Patty
Mine is Duncan Ceramics Satin Clear sn351 but of course they are also gone now. Luckily I found some 3 gallon buckets on clearance cheap and bought them up! But someday when I run out of that I'm going to need a replacement as well because it's getting hard to find, alas. So useful thread.
