The Shimpo VL-Lite is belt driven and it spent 8 years in the High Sierra Desert in hot garages so I'm betting that belt is shot. Hopefully nothing else is. It's packed properly in its original shipping box. What do I need to do to make sure its ok before I just turn it on and let 'er rip? Hulk Posted March 3, 2022 Report Share Posted March 3, 2022 Maybe give the wheel a tentative spin by hand - in the direction you prefer to throw in; how's that sound and feel?
