ambers
Hello, Our Studio 3000 controller is displaying the number 8? Does anyone know what this means? The kiln is on and red hot. The kiln LED is on. I cannot look through the steps on the mimic. Thanks in advance!
Bill Kielb
If it’s a rampmaster controller then it appears to be failing to heat. If this is your control, see page 25 for error messages https://www.evenheat-kiln.com/_files/ugd/3a9418_dce6fa97f33440018c41576febe9e5f4.pdf If not you can usually find manuals on the net for a specific controller. Just need to know who really makes the control.
ambers
It’s an Ipco studio 3000! Couldn’t find anything in the manual relating to this?
Mark C.
Just google Ipco studio 3000 many hits to look at from there-here is just one below https://manualzz.com/doc/35384479/ipco-studio-3000-controller-manual
ambers
Yes, I’ve read through this manual but can’t find anything that explains what this display means.

Can you confirm if the display is just the number 8, or something like Err8 or E-8?
ambers
Hi Peter, just the number 8!
PeterH
1 hour ago, ambers said: just the number 8! From first principles, rather than from any relevant knowledge ... 1. If it had been Err8 or whatever, this would definitely have been the wrong manual:https://www.kilns.com.au/manuals/IPCOStudio3000Manual.pdf 2. I suspect that the absence of a prefix means that it's not an error message for any controller. So maybe it's not time for a manual hunt (although I would recheck the name on your controller). 3. So I would start looking really hard at the During the Firing section of the manual (p4...). With the suspicion that you have inadvertently got the display into one of the minor modes (or some sort of glitch has done it for you).
Chilly
Is it finished firing? How many programmes does it have? Sounds like it's set on program 8, waiting for you to press start.
