oldlady
wow! i never realized i am not alone in seeing math as a puzzle, but i am glad that those of you who embrace math problems as easily solved are willing to share the information so willingly. thanks to all of you. roberta, i know exactly what i did when i mixed "Nutmeg" from bill van gilder's book. leaving the 1000 gram weight on the scale for at least 3 ingredients that were much smaller was the reason that i now write recipes from the smallest ingredient to the largest. thanks to John Hessleberth's suggestion that the addition of 500 grams of ball clay would make a glaze but it might not look like Nutmeg, i did get a very large bucketful of a palish, beigeish, sort of brownish with speckles glaze. i still have some. it goes on empty bowls since it is not transparent. Pres
Yeah, I use a small amount of rutile to make a butter cream liner glaze. I like it better than stark white. best, Pres
