kev
I am in need of a few good books that have 1740-1790 ish pottery pictures for North America. Stoneware, red ware, earthenware. Mugs, tankards, plates and crocks are what my main interest is at this time. Any advice before I buy and just hope it’s a good book is much appreciated. Thanks. oldlady
for something this specific, i would contact a museum in an area where pottery was made during those years and ask what they use for research.
Magnolia Mud Research
Search for pottery within the archeology discipline. "Pottery Analysis" by Prudence M. Rice (University Chicago Press. 2015) might be a good starting point. LT
