clay lover
I got my latest order of honey dippers and they came with stuck on prices and maker's info. I am having the devil of a time getting those tiny stickers off. If I can peel the paper of, there is a gummy residue still on the wood that then collects dirt and feels gummy. I have tried soaking them in hot water and detergent, no improvement. Any ides as to how to get the sticker and it's glue of without damaging the finish ? They have a clear varnished surface. Chris Campbell
It's called "Goo Gone " and you buy it at a hardware store. Works very well ... Spray on, wipe off.

~janie
Or, you can visit the auto department and pick up a spray can of engine starter fluid. Works very well. Very cheap.
MichaelS
wipe oil on the residue, leave for a minute or two and wipe off. Repeat if still tacky.
Nightshade
I agree with using Goo Gone. If it's being stubborn, let it set for a minute, then try.
Nightshade
Thanks, guys. I never thought of e-how. Chris, do I remove the paper part and then use the spray? You don't have to, but it makes it easier to saturate the whole sticker.
