Sadiekat
I somehow managed to put on a 15 hour HOLD instead of a 15 hour delay on a bisque meant for cone 04. Any ideas as to what cone that actually hit? I’m so scared to open the kiln. Still cooling. It held around 1900° for 15 hours. Clay is cone 6. neilestrick
Hard to say what cone it may have reached. Chances are it'll be fine. Maybe a little less porous, but still able to take glaze.
Babs
How can your hold be for so long...accidentally Try to log your firings get in your hesd or on papercapprox time your firings take and set an alarm somewhere. Better still get a timecattached to your kiln which will shut off about 30mins after your estimated firing should finish. Dont walk away, computers do fail but most errors are human. Sorry but a bitvshocked at leaving kiln on 15hrs after reaching desired temp... Hope everything works out but if not...steep learning kiln. U can flick through what you've programmed before starting your firing. A good practice imo.
