leopold
Hello everyone, In the past few weeks, I searched for some great recipes from the internet. I found some of the recipes included Ferro Frit 3134 and known it's a USA pottery frit. But I'm not lived in the USA, should I have another item to instead of it? I'm a freshman for this industrial, thanks for any help from you. Best
liambesaw
It's a high boron frit, https://digitalfire.com/4sight/material/ferro_frit_3134_351.html You can get close by using gerstley borate (https://digitalfire.com/4sight/material/gerstley_borate_806.html) and a glaze calculator. Bill Kielb
Liam is spot on. If you accept that glazes are composed of thirteen components then substituting and getting the equivalent chemistry becomes doable. 3134 Fritt is a high silica Boron source with no alumina. Often cone 04 stuff. I have attached a spreadsheet detailing the 3134 Fritt and a sheet detailing gerstley borate for comparison. Glaze calculators do make substituting fairly easy.
