Hi Callie, I was investigating the work of Eva Hild who does not glaze her structures but applies a kaolin wash. I think it is slip really that she adds at a leather hard stage but wanted to check if anyone has any experience with that process? Thank you.

Hello, I was wondering if anyone uses kaolin wash to coat the bisque ceramic work with? If so, what are the results and is there a particular composition you use; I assume it's not just kiln wash. Thank you. Kind regards, Ingrid

Thank you Neil. Interesting ideas. I've done some other pieces which I left unglazed and sprayed but I don't seem to get the same shine as with the glaze. Any suggestions? Kind regards, Ingrid

Hello, I would like to glaze a large porcelain sculpture but am unsure how to prop it in the kiln so it does not warp or stick to a support if I prop it on the side. I've heard of people using fire blankets? What recommendations can those with more experience give? I've included a photo of my sculpture. Thank you in advance. Kind regards, Ingrid

Hello, I am interested where other sculptors source their supports for their sculptures. I could only find a metal base but am interested in something different, made of acrylic or other types. I was wondering what else it out there. I am based in the UK.
