GiselleNo5 got a reaction from Pyewackette for a gallery image, Tiny shot glasses, thrown off the hump
Learning to throw off the hump is not so scary when it's low-stakes, mostly-for-fun shot glasses that I plan to use as glaze test cups. No handles so the time investment is minimal and if they come out well I'll sell them at my studio tour.

GiselleNo5 got a reaction from Pyewackette for a gallery image, Topsy turvy ankylosaurus cup
This one was too tiny to trim with my Giffin so I put it inside another cup. Didn't realize how crooked it was till I took it off, so I decided to go with it and made a topsy turvy cup. The slip trailing reminds me of Ankylosaurus armor.

GiselleNo5 got a reaction from Pyewackette for a gallery image, Brush embroidery flowers
I've seen brush embroidery applied to frosting cookies and cakes, and I've wanted to try it with slip for awhile now. Next time I'm going to use stiffer slip, this was a tad too liquid. But I still like it!

GiselleNo5 got a reaction from Pyewackette for a gallery image, Starburst
I decided to decorate this cup in this design to cover a divot from where I dropped it onto another cup! Now you'd never know.

GiselleNo5 got a reaction from Pyewackette for a gallery image, Green Southwestern Mug
Thrown in Speckled Buff and then carved. After firing, applied glaze to the deep carved portions and wiped away excess leaving the exterior clay body bare.

GiselleNo5 got a reaction from Pyewackette for a gallery image, Slip trailing detail, interior of green bowl.
The results of an experiment with adding a touch of decoration. I kept the profile of the slip trailing lower than normal so I didn't add a hard-to-clean texture to the inside of a bowl. It came out really nicely.

GiselleNo5 got a reaction from Pyewackette for a gallery image, Slip trailed bowl in green
We were discussing the boring expanse of a bowl interior. I decided to experiment with adding a touch of decoration without adding too much texture. I'm very happy with how this bowl came out.
