On my way out of the studio tonight I suddenly had a brilliant idea of a way to move things around, have more storage AND more floor space! I measured and everything would fit so of course I started heaving around filing cabinets and bookcases at 12 am. I neglected to move my shelf of drying pottery first and with a huge crash something fell straight on the top shelf, breaking a mug I can make again and a dinosaur piggy bank for my son that has taken me hours to make.

I have officially decided it's worth the broken things and my sore back. My studio looks so much better and now has twice the shelf space plus a second table. What will I do with a second table? I can't handle the freedom.

You will fill it. I got more shelving, which freed up a work table. I was like, "This will free up so much space." Nope, I just filled both with works in progress.

This is my plan, with my studio. I have 12 inch shelving over one whole side, 20 ft. I (will) have deeper shelving across 10 feet of the other wall for large bins (personal storage because after all this is my garage). Once the walls are fully lined with shelving, I plan to buy those metal rolling racks from Costco. They're around $100 each either floor to ceiling or half-shelves and I plan to cut drywall to fit one for a drying rack, one for bisque, one for glazed ready to be fired,...
