I have declared the upcoming week to be MY week to get back into the studio. After nearly 4 days without power (thanks a peach there, Mother Nature!) and numerous doctor appointments, surgery and recovery time for my beloved husband, after Monday's doctor appointment for him, I'll finally have the better part of the whole week to myself and my studio!! Finally! MUD TIME!!!

I am putting my Bailey table top slab roller together and have to rearrange my studio to accommodate it, which is energizing me out of the tail end of a slump I have been plagued with. Clay is good for the health!

Gearing up for a busy Fall. Workshops coming in Sept. Travel with my husband in October, and Rome residency in Nov and Dec. Must ship things this week, do last minute preps for workshops, and finished up some pieces.

It's been wet, hot and humid here lately. And very little wind to cool down with. I got my fan and an exhaust ceiling fan going and it still get around 90 degrees. But I plan to make some more mugs and fire a small load starting tomorrow evening. When it is cooler. How's your weather?

Bring on the heat! Sorry Guinea, but I LOVE it! I can throw in the morning and be trimming by the afternoon. Two thumbs up for that!

Am I the only one to receive offers to give a one to one free workshops to total strangers?

I'd be sorely tempted to take them up on the offer.. with a few caveats of course... YOU clean my coops for me. YOU do all of my laundry. YOU do all of my house work. YOU week the garden. For the time I'd have to take out of my busy schedule just to teach your sorry butt, I think that would be a fair trade! Some people have pretty big cojones!
