Having a great weekend around Yellowstone Park. saw a wolf stalking an elk, Lots of wildlife and gorgeous skies, rock/thermal formations. LOts of snow, wind and sun.

Yellowstone in Winter with so few people around is indescribable. I remember seeing 2 elk standing in the run off of a hot pool. They were covered with icicles and shrouded in steam coming off the hot water....so beatiful..

Getting ready to leave Texas this morning. Dark and foggy. Cats have been drugged, harness on one. one last shop cart to put into my van along with a suitcase, winter coat. too bad my snow boots are up there. Should have a very white Christmas with 17" of snow!

Are you up for an experiment?...
If you have an extra bucket,put some of your brew in the bucket and add milk to 10% volume and 10% pectin by weight, and put 1 pot in it. The casein and pectin are reported to form a waterproof polymer on the surface of the pot.

A heads up, to those up North. There are several kilns and wheels up for bid on Govdeals. Also, for anyone in Arizona, there is a front load Paragon kiln.

Obvara firing tomorrow. No kiln but a hopefully hot enough pit. Keep your fingers crossed please.
