I showed the Industrial Tech teacher, who gave me some pointers, and he seemed impressed. It's hard to tell from the photo, but the trim and letter are actually a dark violet, not black. My daughter seemed to like it. Hopefully she gets a lot of use, and does indeed pass it on some day. The tea set is a wonderful gift...the custom box makes it a treasure!
