But turns out I need to replace potentiometer in my wheel pedal. Wheel accelerates fine, but when u left off pedal it will barely stop the start turning at a slow rate of speed. Wyndham Posted June 8, 2014 Report Share Posted June 8, 2014 Lou, in a Brent pedal there are 2 pots one for low speed and the other for high. Mug Posted June 8, 2014 Report Share Posted June 8, 2014 Its probably out of adjustment like Wyndham mentioned. I'm not real sure how HF has the wheel wired. You may or may not find the adjustment screws in the foot pedal, In a regular DC power supply the high/ low adjustment pots are in with the power supply. Hope that helps. Guest JBaymore Posted June 10, 2014 Report Share Posted June 10, 2014 Look on the sides of that slide pot. There should be a resistance value (Ohms) listed. Also, no matter the total Ohms value, it LIKELY is a what is known as a linear taper...... not an audio taper. That means that the total Ohms value (resistance) is spread out evenly over the physical travel distance. If the wiper is at 1/2 the travel... it is 1/2 the total Ohms. Then call one of the places I listed and order one that matches or is as close a resistance and physical size match as possible. Solder it in and test it.
