Min
Any recommendations for a brand of hearing protectors that work well? I currently use foam earplugs plus a pair of basic hearing protectors while spraying glazes but they still allow a lot of noise through. Thanks in advance for any suggestions. Chris Campbell
I use the ones they sell at your local Ace Hardware for blocking out the noise of lawn care stuff like leaf blowers, large mowers. They work very well.

Are you sure you don't need a new air compressor? Compressor is great, it's in another room with an air-hose coming in to where I spray, it's a massive 5' tall one, only comes on about once an hour. The noise is coming mostly from the fan, and a little from the water (I use a waterfall spraybooth)
Min
Thanks Chris and S;Dean, I'll try and find a pair of those Peltor/3M ones, they look much better than the clunky old ones I'm currently using. MIn
Pres
Smart to protect your ears, and your eyes. take it from one who hadn't heard the wind in 20 yrs, until I got hearing aids. Loss of hearing sneaks up on you, and you never know what you are missing. the only tells in the early stages are a little louder volume on devices. Later you may ask for repeats, or you find that sentences don't seem to go together right. Protect your ears and eyes.

Hopefully they won't make my head feel like it's in a C clamp, none of the local places had the ones I ordered in stock.
