Posted May 17, 2016 Author Report Share Posted May 17, 2016 Having a good stilt rack is another way to speed loading process I have two of these (the one next to electric is much smaller but same idea) These have the back compartments at different depths and are laid out staring with 1 inch at the bottom and move up to 9,s at the top.I keep my soaps separately(9 inch 1/2 bricks) The smaller stilts stack 3 deep in each compartment. This rack is next to car kiln and get used every week. Once you load kilns a lot you will know what posts to use without a tape measure and how long they are by feel and look. Denice Posted May 17, 2016 Report Share Posted May 17, 2016 When we were sheet rocking my kiln room I had my husband leave a piece off exposing the wall studs. I put some boards in as shelves and then on the ones I use as stilt storage I put a thin face board across the front. The shelves are only 3 and one half inches deep but they holds everything I need for electric kiln firings such as cones, kiln sitter guide and misc.
