Pres Posted June 9 Report Share Posted June 9 Probably would be OK if the weight is not too much. You could put a layer of cement board or a kiln shelf on top of it then the kiln. Bill Kielb Posted June 9 Report Share Posted June 9 It looks rusted which means steel which ain’t gonna melt short of 2000 degrees so no, it should not melt. Whether it’s the right size, can fully support the bottom of the kiln or its attachments and metal are in reasonable condition is something you will need to assess. It ought not melt though.
